iQ Finishing |
Adding the finishing touches.
The rigorous monitoring you’ve applied to the rest of production has to be applied to Finishing if overall waste is to be minimized and quality improved. This is where the iQ Finishing module comes in. iQ Finishing is able to “consume” WIP pallets/skids of sections, covers and inserts, in the same way a web press consumes paper. Since the iQ range of modules is completely integrated, WIP pallets/skids delivered from the web and sheetfed presses (either directly or via cutting and/or folding processes) can be validated against the current running job.
When used in conjunction with iQ Pallet/Skid Tracking, iQ Finishing can put an end to wrong sections or inserts being loaded to a machine, and provide a definitive view of pallets/skids created but not yet used together with their location.The iQ Finishing system creates Finished Goods Pallet/Skid Tickets to accurately record goods for shipping and these tickets can be sub-divided across multiple-delivery addresses. For tight timescale work, required pick-up times for each delivery can be set with iQ constantly reporting on whether these will be met based on real-time machine performance.
iQ Finishing applies to a wide range of finishing equipment including Perfect Binders, Saddle and Drum Stitching lines, wrapping lines, inserters, and collators.
